The Age of AI Disruption: Revolutionizing Application Security and Beyond

As the founder of a pioneering Application Security startup, ArmorCode, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the seismic shifts occurring in technology. Today, we stand on the brink of an extraordinary revolution fueled by Agentic AI. This transformation is not just reshaping how we think about software but redefining the very fabric of innovation.

The Acceleration of Code Creation

In a bold declaration at the World Economic Forum in Davos 2025, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff shared that today's cohort of CEOs will be the last to lead all-human workforces. He emphasized that Salesforce would not hire more software engineers in 2025, attributing this decision to significant productivity gains from AI. Benioff’s statement underscores the pace at which AI agents and bots are generating code, accelerating at an unprecedented rate. Code development, which once took weeks or months, is now being accomplished thousands of times faster. This exponential acceleration signals a tectonic shift in the development landscape, ushering in an era where code creation becomes predominantly driven by AI.

But this transformation is not without its challenges. New AI-driven development tools, such as large language models (LLMs), are emerging almost daily. With them comes an influx of vulnerabilities and security gaps that legacy systems and traditional application security tools are ill-equipped to handle. The need for adaptive, innovative solutions has never been greater.

A Holistic Approach to Application Security

Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) is evolving rapidly to meet these demands. At its core, ASPM is about aggregation, analysis, and automation—ingesting vulnerabilities from hundreds of sources, correlating them, and taking intelligent actions. However, the future demands more than this.

Organizations can no longer afford to view application security in isolation. The correlation of vulnerabilities must expand beyond applications to encompass a 360-degree perspective, integrating infrastructure, cloud environments, and interactions between AI-generated code and traditional systems. This holistic approach will be the cornerstone of resilient, forward-thinking security strategies. While the AI revolution is happening, all organizations will continue to have traditional software and systems. 71% of Fortune 500 companies still use IBM AS-400 mainframe computers. 90% of credit card transactions are still processed by mainframes. So, from a security perspective, one has to ensure that you have a completely holistic view of the Application Security Posture in your hybrid environment.

The Launch of Agentic AI in ASPM

In this spirit of innovation, we proudly mention that we will launch our new Agentic AI solution at the RSA 2025 (We have some early customer engagements with Fortune 500 companies to validate the use cases). This technology is designed to disrupt the status quo of application security. Leveraging AI and advanced automation will deliver unparalleled correlation and insight, empowering organizations to stay ahead of the rapidly evolving threat landscape.

Agentic AI goes beyond identifying vulnerabilities—it contextualizes them within the broader ecosystem, providing actionable intelligence that transforms security operations. Automating what was once manual and slow ensures that security keeps pace with the accelerated development driven by AI.

A Vision for the Future

The disruption we are witnessing extends far beyond application security. At a recent White House event, it was announced that the Stargate Project, a joint venture between OpenAI, SoftBank, Oracle, and MGX, has plans to invest up to $500 billion in AI infrastructure over the next four years. This initiative aims to bolster American leadership in AI, create hundreds of thousands of jobs, and provide strategic capabilities for national security. While Marc Benioff is saying that Salesforce is not hiring any new software developers, leading to fears that AI is taking away jobs, this massive $500 billion investment in AI will, paradoxically, create many more new job opportunities. This duality highlights the conundrum of AI innovation: while some roles may be displaced, countless others will emerge, demanding new skills and expertise. This investment is not just about technology; it’s about redefining what is possible.

As Satya Nadella once said, every company is now a software company, and securing the digital world will be paramount. Whenever a disruptive innovation emerges, it opens doors for both good and bad actors. Just as nuclear energy was used to create both bombs and electricity, AI will similarly be a double-edged sword. Cybersecurity will take center stage in this AI-driven world as bad actors exploit AI’s capabilities to disrupt businesses. This is where ArmorCode’s role becomes pivotal. It took us four years to process 10 Billion findings, but in just the past four months, we are now processing 100 million findings a day, leading to over 18 Billion findings processed, and the growth is accelerating. This pace underscores the immense power of Agentic AI and its ability to secure an evolving AI-driven world like never before.

Organizations must embrace this disruption. They must rethink traditional models and adopt solutions that align with the new pace of innovation. From developers to CISOs, the call to action is clear: adapt, innovate, and secure the future.

Conclusion

We live in a transformative era where AI is not just augmenting human capability but revolutionizing it. The pace of change is dizzying, but it also presents unparalleled opportunities for those willing to lead. At our core, ASPM, powered by Agentic AI, will be at the forefront of this revolution, delivering the security and insights necessary to thrive in the age of AI.

The future is not something we enter—it’s something we create. Let’s create it together.
